Matt Knarr is a young director and cinematographer currently completing a BA in film at Ryerson University. Born and raised in Stratford, Ontario, he moved to Toronto to pursue a dream of filmmaking. This snuck into his work, leading him to examine themes of community, the lives of strangers, and isolation within the city.
Matt has found his niche in cinematography, working on a number of upcoming web-series including Easy V, from Natalie Novak and Carly MacIsaac. He also works as a gaffer on larger projects, including the upcoming feature “The River You Step In”, produced by Emily Andrews. Matt looks forward to even more fun making films in the years to come.
