In-person screenings to be held at the John Elliott Theatre in Georgetown
We are thrilled to announce that the 9th Annual Milton Film Festival will be welcoming audiences back to the theatre at our new temporary home – just up the road at the beautiful John Elliott Theatre in Georgetown!
Although the ongoing closure of the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton has necessitated this temporary move, we are looking forward to once again offering you the wonderful experience of watching films on the big screen, live and in-person in the company of your fellow film lovers.
And of course, even more films will be available online through the Virtual Festival part of our program.
Just 25 minutes up the road from Milton, the John Elliott Theatre (affectionately known as ‘The JET’) is part of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre at 9 Church Street in downtown Georgetown. With a capacity of 260 comfortable seats, a full size screen, professional projection and sound system, and lots of great shops and restaurants just steps away, it’s the perfect venue for a weekend at the movies.
Everything kicks off January 29th with a full week of virtual films, followed by three days of in-person screenings at The JET starting February 4th – plus our short film program, audience Q&As, interviews with special guests and more!
Passes go on sale soon, with film announcements and individual ticket sales starting in late November / early December.
